Degree in Fine Arts – Painting by the Fine Art Faculty, Oporto University (2001) , PhD in Artistic Education by FBAUP (2020) with the thesis untitled LAB Color Sense: Laboratório para o estudo da relação entre o corpo e a cor. Studied Communication Design at the Superior School of Art and Design - ESAD (1996) and Master's Degree in Painting at FBAUP Porto (2010/12). In 2004, he completed the Specialization in Restoration and Conservation of Painting, by Camera di Commercio Italiana. She is a professor at Superior School of Education, Coimbra (ESEC), a collaborating member of the Center for Artistic Education of the Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS-FBAUP) and Portuguese Color Association.
In 2012 participated in the project Terzo Paradizo, by Michelangelo Pistoletto, a work conceived for Guimarães - European Capital of Culture, as the author of an intervention proposal on the work's constituent elements.
Participated in artist residency program in the city of Görlitz (DE), invited by the Cultural Department to integrate into the itinerant international project of Plastic Arts - STADT-RAUM-KUNST (2012-2015), having exhibited her work in the following locations: Industriemuseum, Hattingen (Germany), Kongresszentrum Davos (Switzerland), Fürstenschloss, Żagań (Poland), Convento de Cristo, Tomar (Portugal), Wissenschaften Liberec (Czech Republic), Rothko Museum (Lithuania) and European Parliament (Belgium) ). She has participated in several individual and group exhibitions since 1999.
She is represented several public collections: Prince's Trust, London – United Kingdom; Fondo de Arte de Caixanova, Ourense – Spain; Fundación Pedro Ferrándiz, Madrid – Spain; Pinacoteca Benedicto Calixto, São Paulo – Brazil; Rathaus der Stadt Königshain – Germany; Câmara Municipal de Penafiel; Câmara Municipal de Silves; Câmara Municipal de Oliveira de Azeméis; Unidade de Saúde Familiar, Centro de Saúde de Penafiel (Mural painting); Centro de Negócios da Junqueira, Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal); Museu do Calçado, S. João da Madeira (Portugal).
Ribeiro was distinguished with 3 awards and 2 honorable mentions in the field of visual arts. She was artistic director and curator of exhibitions at Galeria Átomo, Porto (2006-2011).
Participant in several conferences, guest lecturer at 8 conferences, published 5 articles in conferences and 1 in a specialized magazine. She is co-author of the book "Cor e Luz na Interpretação da Imagem - Tradução Cerebral" (2014).
