Александр Апрель (Очкал Александр Борисович). Родился в 1966 году.

Учился в Полтавской художественной школе с 1978 года. Преподаватель — Шершень Виктор Демидович. После армии в 1988 году закончил курсы художников-оформителей при Полтавском отделении фонда культуры. В общем-то… всю жизнь рисую. Одно время работал в кинотеатре художником, занимался росписью потолков, гипсовой лепкой (альфрейные работы); реклама, отделка интерьеров и т.д.

Первая персональная выставка графики прошла в 2000 году в Полтавской библиотеке им. Котляревского. Затем еще три персональные выставки в художественном салоне Полтавского объединения "Художник": одна — графики и две — живописи. Участвую в городских выставках полтавских художников. Работы находятся в частных коллекциях в России, Америке, Польше, Голландии, Ирландии, Израиле, Италии и др. странах.

Дед — Александр Макарович тоже был художником, писал маслом. Это были 1930-е годы. Где продавал работы — не известно. Работал инженером, жил и умер в Калифорнии в 1986 году.
