S!C is a professional artist practicing since 2001. She is affiliated with the Maison des Artistes.
Born in Brittany, S!C showed a gift for drawing, painting with watercolors and brushes, then oils and knives, at a very young age.
Painting is his true passion. Self-taught, she left the management world for good after working with various painters in France and abroad to devote herself fully to her art.
She then settled in Brittany, her native region, and from then on her painting was imbued with light, colors and emotions.
His style, of post-impressionist origin, has evolved today into stripped-down and architectural expressionism, often flirting with abstraction.
His paintings, both light and sober, soothing and invigorating, have had a common thread since the beginning: enthusiasm. The power they release through the intensity of the yellows, the depth of the blues and the ardor of the reds and oranges, are solely at the service of the pleasure they give us.
Without worrying about realism, the artist works the material with powerful gestures, in an altercation of abstraction and maturation, which favors the expressionist force of chromatism. However, the charm of these treated atmospheres gives her work a seductive suavity which reveals the feminine sensitivity of this artist.
S!C relies on an accomplished synthesis between the structure of the motifs, dealing with the forcefully crushed skies to the floors with astonishing perspectives and, playing with the chromatic range with an exciting audacity, dares everything. The balance is such that the eye no longer leaves the painted surface, following the detail of the knife work allowing flat areas which clean the space and crystallize the gaze on the essential.
His works offer us a magical and poetic universe suggesting escape and freedom. The invitation to travel and discover the intrinsic purity of a landscape is permanent.
All that remains is to let yourself be carried away by the boldness of this writing which releases the scents of landscapes, particularly Mediterranean ones.
