Ferenc SEBÖK is a painter and composer of classical music. He has won several international prizes in pictorial art and musical art. In painting, the most significant are: Phoenix Works Prize 1977 (B) - John Cockerill Prize 1978 (B) - Pieter Paul Rubens International Grand Prize 2009 in Florence - Leonardo da Vinci International Award 2009, Brindisi (It) - Rembrandt International Grand Prize 2010, Florence - Art, Sciences, Letters 2010 (silver medal), Paris - Mostra Concorso Europea di pittura, scultura e poesia 2010, I° classificato, Accademia Internazionale "Città di Roma" di scienze, arte, cultura, spettacolo (It) - International Prize "La Toile d'Or 2010", Port-Fréjus (F) - International Grand Prize "Francesco Mazzola 2011", Accademia Gentilizia Il Marzocco di Firenze, (It ). Music: He studied piano and violin. His master in composition: Berthe Divito-Delvaux. He was crowned with International Prizes for classical music composition in 2001, 2002, 2003, at the Song Expo international song and culture festival of music (NL). Selection of his music at Midem 2000 (Cannes) by Sabam (B). He composed the compulsory (cat A) Fantaisie opus 67 for the 2004 Henri Koch international violin competition (B). In pictorial art he has been active since 1971 and exhibited since 1974. He took courses at the Académie des B.A. (Liège) and later perfected his skills in iconography with various masters in Hungary and Belgium and in particular at the Atelier Saint Seraphim of Sarov. Initially landscape, he also produced nudes, caricatures, seascapes before turning to symbolism and allegory in 1990. Well known for his Loge paintings as well as for the esoteric atmospheres and his allegorical approach in certain themes, he touches the imagination while remaining realistic. His works are in private collections, in museums in Europe and overseas, various institutions, cultural centers or Masonic Lodges. He also wrote Masonic songs combining poetry and music. Paysage au départ, il a aussi réalisé des nus, des caricatures, des marines avant de se tourner en 1990 vers le symbolisme et l’allégorie. Très connu pour ses tableaux de Loge ainsi que pour les ambiances ésotériques et son approche allégorique dans certains thèmes, il touche l'imaginaire tout en restant dans le réalisme. Ses œuvres sont en collections privées, dans des musées en Europe et Outremer, des Institutions diverses, des Centres culturels ou des Loges maçonniques.Il a aussi écrit des chants maçonniques en alliant poésie et musique. He trained a time at Académie des Beaux-Arts (Liège) and specialized later in Iconography with several Master and at Atelier Saint Séraphim of Sarov (B). He began painting with figurative landscapes, nudes, marines and caricatures but progressively took the way of symbolism and allegory in 1990. Sebok is wellknown with his Tracing boards created for different Lodges as well as in Europe and Overseas but also with his particular esoteric moods and the imaginary in his artworks, staying nevertheless in the way of realism. His artworks are in private collections, some museums in Rurope and Overseas, but also in different Institutions and Culture houses. He also wrote songs for freemasonry using poetry and music.

L'Art est ma quête ... Art is my quest
SEBÖK Ferenc a peint énormément de paysages jusque la fin des années 80 en passant par une période bleue dans les années 70. Il a aussi peint des nus ainsi que des marines.
Il a su se partager entre la peinture et la musique.
Depuis qu'il a pris la voie du symbolisme (+/- 1990), il s'est inspiré de la franc-maçonnerie, de l'ésotérisme, de la période du nazisme et la révolution de 1956.
At the beginning Ferenc SEBÖK painted figurative landscapes untill 1980, with a blue period in 70th.
He also painted nudes and marines.
He always shared his time between painting and music.
When he took the way of symbolism(+/-1990), his inspiration was enlarged with freemasonry and esoterism
but also the period of nazism and the revolution of 1956.
