Das Malen gibt mir Kraft, Ausgleich und eine tief empfundene Freude. Mein Ziel ist es meine persönliche Sicht auf das was mich umgibt und was ich durch Beobachtung empfinde mit Hilfe des Pinsels zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Das kann sowohl inspiriert sein durch die mich umgebende Landschaft, die kleinen Dinge des Alltags auf die ich aufmerksam werde als auch eine Stimmung die ich wahrnehme.
Meine Herangehensweise ist größtenteil autodidaktisch erworben. Die Möglichkeit zum Austausch innerhalb einer Malgruppe, der ich seit 2006 angehöre, bietet zudem eine Auseinandersetzung mit unterschiedlichen Betrachtungsweisen.
Die Wahl der Farbe, abhängig von der aktuellen persönlichen Stimmung , gibt intuitiv die Vorgabe für den Beginn eines Werkes . Daraus folgend entwickelt sich meist erst im Laufe des Malprozesses das Thema.
Ich bevorzuge das Arbeiten mit Acrylfarbe, aber auch der Einsatz von Papier und Naturmaterialien kommt zur Anwendung.
Seit 2015 stelle ich unter dem Namen 2erlei gemeinsam mit einer befreundeten Künstlerin in meiner Heimatregion , dem Alten Land an der Elbe, meine Bilder aus.
Das Arbeiten im eigenen Tempo und doch mit dem Bestreben ankommen zu wollen, empfinde ich bei jedem neuen Werk als eine besondere Form der Meditation aus der ich Kraft schöpfe.
