New York Painting by Sasha Ozkan

I was born in Ukraine, the city of Donetsk in 1989. From 2004 to 2008 studied fine arts in a specialized school, but all six years after this I concentrated on office job, selling electronics, worked also as freelance-copywriter, but in 2015 suddenly for myself I moved to Turkey, Istanbul. Married here and started life from zero - as for a foreigner in Turkey in very hard to find a standard job in a companies, so I was learning language and reminded my fine-arts specialization.

From 2015 to 2016 I started to make art on canvases, reminded my skills and understood that it's not just a hobby - it can become my favorite job as well. I've organized in a small room an own workshop, bought starter materials and opened my FB page. People started to notice me, but not a lot.

In the spring of 2016 I was asked to try to hand paint a natural leather bags and the result was amazing - the art holds on a leather so well, resisting to water and makes every accessory unique. I've fell in love with personalizing women bags, wallets and even shoes. From 2016 to 2017 I've took to hand paint quiet a lot bags of my customers to make them original and colorful.

For now I am continuing hand painting on natural leather goods, also taking a lot of private commissions of an oil and acrylic paintings. I will put to my gallery everything I've made this year and I am just starting. Now I can call myself an artist and about to master my skills and create more original art from myself.
