About this piece: The glue has just been applied. Everything that needs stuffing has been stuffed with cotton and miscellaneous garbage. Just a few more stitches remain. Plungers have been applied; it is believed that relics equipped with plungers are capable of scaling vertical plate glass. Autoanimation is nearly complete. Wait! It’s the Autoanimation Police! This ancient relic has heard about the cruel autoanimation chain gangs, and he vows that he won’t be taken alive. The foot chase… uh, well some sort of chase is on!

Recently, I began experimenting with acrylics. I have no formal training as an artist. I admire the works of Dali, Max Ernst, Dorothea Tanning, Giorgio De Chirico, and Rene Magritte, among others.
Usually, I paint it first; then think about what it all means to me. I think my current fascination with creation and re-birth is somehow connected to an increasing awareness of my own mortality. African masks interest me, and their beautiful/grotesque features often appear in my paintings.
