Curated Culture – Creating a Community of Culture
Curated Culture, the force behind Richmond's First Fridays art walk, proudly launches Second Saturdays. Second Saturdays is an art experience with featured activities, such as lectures, demonstrations, music, or family activities in the galleries along the Historic Broad Street Corridor. Created as an event expanding on the First Fridays receptions, Second Saturdays is a more intimate experience to encourage visitors to head downtown and enjoy the many galleries, shops and restaurants in Richmond's burgeoning Downtown Arts District.

Individual and collaborative works formed of porcelain, sound and light create an atmosphere of active stillness, illuminating the “primacy of perception.” Works on Paper by Joseph Lupo. Exploration of the intersection of documentation, communication, and reproduction.

A Hundred Years of Service: The Alpha Kappa Alpha Story
Traveling exhibition sponsored by the National AKA Society in celebration of the organization’s 100 Anniversary. This major exhibition will feature unique selection of artifacts and memorabilia from 1908 to present day. Highlights include replica of the dorm room at Howard University, where the society started and the astronaut suit of Mae Jamison, one of the first African-American women in space.

Sisters of the Yam: Friends & Family Treasures
This exhibition features various quilts and other fabric objects from the personal collections of various members of the Sisters of the Yam, an African American Quilters Guild based in Richmond. The guild sisters have chosen to share home crafted items that have meaning in their lives.

Spirit Speaking: African Ritual & Life Masks
Rather than concealing, the mask reveals. It becomes a lens, a viewfinder, a conduit, a light through which real life can be seen. Experience this rich exhibition of diverse African and tribal masks.
