RAOUL BRUCKERT
A JAZZMAN PAINTER
Raoul Bruckert, whose partner I was, died in 2004. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Lyon, from which he graduated.
Since the age of 15, he has devoted his life and energy to his passion for jazz and painting. Simultaneously, he ran a textile design workshop and founded a jazz club called: “Hot club de Lyon”. He played with the biggest American stars and created scarves for fashionable Parisian couturiers.
He owned a house in Roussillon - en - Provence.
As a painter, he worked there every summer, strongly inspired by the colors and landscapes of this region, in addition to the flowers, still lifes, jazz musicians, of which he was fervent.
This creativity was the consequence of numerous exhibitions in major galleries and salons in Lyon.
