"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Mario Fanconi was born in Bellinzona on 23 July 1912, originally from Poschiavo, he obtained his commercial high school diploma at the Commercial School of Bellinzona in 1932 and worked for several years as an employee at a metallurgical company in internal Switzerland, taking care of the administrative part. He returned to Ticino and found employed as a civil servant, he married in 1945 and had two daughters, settling with his family in Lugano. In 1947 he opened a commercial business in Lugano selling exclusive items for 40 years, combining the successful commercial activity with a love for painting .
.His journey towards painting began early at the age of sixteen he painted his first painting, representing a hunting scene. He would have preferred, in his life, to undertake an artistic career, a desire which unfortunately circumstances did not allow him allowed it to be achieved. He continued to cultivate this biological passion, during his free time, at any cost; a journey that took place in stages, but never abandoned, thus realizing his long-held dream. A generous art that constantly testifies to the pleasure of painting united in happy union with the artist's joy of living. His paintings are essentially post-impressionistic like much of modern painting; through the flow of colours, he offers us through his works numerous images and expressive freshness which are renewed in the individual paintings. Some subjects are repeated, flowers and landscapes are painted countless times, but the replica is not synonymous with monotony, but rather with the invention of a play of harmonious colors with full-bodied tones, of varieties of views that alternate on the canvas. Shaped by different techniques and by non-exaggerated ones formal experiments, his paintings are a tranquilizer, never aggressive or violent, of relaxed and silent images, which know how to carve out a corner of peace in a society that has made violence and vulgarity its banners. His spots of color are among the most beautiful things he produced; those perhaps more shared, more his own which allow him to concentrate on a well-defined theme, expanding it to other meanings. This means that painting is truly his way of expressing himself and communicating with an interior level through the outpouring of colors he expresses the joy that painting can convey is very good
He died on 5 June in Mezzovico in 2013.
