Petit Ange racine d'olivier Sculpture by Paul Crochat

Born in 1969, Paul Crochat has been a sculptor since the age of 19. He learned everything from contact with other artists by working with them in France, Italy, Israel, Brazil and El Salvador.

Paul Crochat transforms beautiful woods, driftwood and stones found in carvings. However, he uses a particular and little known technique: he sculpts by leaving the shape that nature has given to the materials to reveal a presence, a face, a hand, an animal etc. He seeks to transmit an interiority and a certain simplicity.

His sculptures can be found in a dozen countries. He works and lives in the plain of Forez, in Montrond-Les-bains.
