My work is based on my subjectivity. I started by developing an unquestionable attraction for the faces by sometimes deforming them without me to trouble to reproduce what I saw from somebody but on the contrary while letting to me go to represent a face according to a "relation". In fact, I carried out portraits of other people under my features but finally the person who is most foreign for us is not the Different one as such, the Unknown, but on the contrary oneself. Moreover, when we perceive others, my assumption is that we do not seize an Other spontaneously than what we can see. The difficulty lies then in the listening of the Other, its discovery, without binding that to our own subjectivity.

Moreover, and consequently, I also work according to the automatic drawing. The word "drawing" badly came in what it consists with a release-catch which generally gives and Seemingly a "gribouilli". However, of these "gribouillis" I make emerge what it seems to to me to see there, generally a face, a posture.

A significant point remains to be specified concerning the choice of my colors, more and more "specific". I do not restore an academic work, in particular with regard to the light of the subjects. Indeed, some are évertuent to respect (rightly and for absolutely legitimate reasons) the origin of the light in their pictorial representation. In what relates to me, I do not hold of it account in what I want (and it is well a calculation) that the light is my subject, that it emerges from him and by him. The face that we generally meet is not our but well that of Others. This with saying is that there is only one face of Different, I leave you the content of my response in my paintings.

Moreover, if human figure must wake up us with ethics (Emmanuel Lévinas), it is certain whereas the meeting with the Other passes by the face and that in that it holds what there is of more human of the human one. For this reason one do not can be satisfied any more to believe that "the hell, is the Other" (the J.P. Sartre) but which "my light, is the Other ones".
So I do not expose faces to the light but I paint of the faces because at a given time I saw that it was a light there, a singular and single truth which I wish to show.

Currently I work according to two poles: the first answers an ordering of a person who asked me to work, to extend me to a representation of Africa. The second pole consists in reading automatic compositions by satisfying me to reconstitute something which exists well at the origin in the automatic representation i.e. without bringing my own features there.

I am currently completing this work and, in the days to come I will put them on line. "THE CHILD" that I come from scanner is the first work which illustrates this work, knowing that the following ones are in the course of drying.
