Nicole Lavigne is a contemporary French painter. She spent part of her childhood in the Central African Republic and this is how, at a very young age, she took an attentive, sensitive and amazed look at the local population and its rituals, at the equatorial flora as well as at the African fauna. Her paintings were greatly influenced by this experience.
The artist aims to close the gap between the human and animal worlds through her animal paintings. The paintings by Lavigne depict how the fates of humans and animals are intertwined.
