While painting this canvas, part of me felt guilty about using a piece of my body as inspiration. No doubt, because in my art I seek a form of aestheticism, and staining my painting with my face seemed paradoxical to me. I also had this fear that my image would become a shimmering picture of narcissism. The word self-portrait that would surely be attributed to him scared me. Then I looked at my studio wall and seeing my canvases hanging on it, I saw the pieces of my own puzzle scattered around. Whether I like it or not, I am in every work. It is only the darkness of my neuroses that covers the canvas. This one, has for only difference that its metaphor unmasks me.

The aesthetics of my works are only their emerged part.

I started drawing from early childhood. Since the age when a child is first given a pencil, I have never stopped creating. Self-taught, I used observation to represent my world to myself. I was interested in any artistic field, painting on canvas, wood, various supports and sculpture.
I like to link the mediums together, to reincarnate a subject in several forms. I brought many of my paintings to life in texts, which I then transcribed into music.

After general studies, I worked in the entertainment industry to work on large format frescoes. Since March 2020, I have declared myself an artist author to spoil the canvases of its cracks.
So I started to give birth to my current style. I locate my works in black surrealism. Paintings mixing dreams and darkness. For me, creation is vitality, it is a visceral need to exteriorize my cerebral darkness. Psychology is a primary subject in my paintings. I struggle tirelessly to find meaningful metaphors, hoping they resonate with a few people.

I attach the greatest importance to illustrating psychiatric illnesses, psychic suffering. Too often in the shadow of our society, I want at my small level, to consider them at their proper size.

For art; my life, my traumas, my pathologies, but also those of warriors I have known, have become my muses. Expressing the shadow imperceptible to the naked eye, in surrealist metaphors, is for me a way of transforming suffering into an image, and thus of making it sparkle beyond the cerebral cage.

Isn't it completely surreal to want to emphasize the shadows?
