Sculpting is learning to see again...
What interests me in the sculptural work, obsesses me, is working on the interiors, these suspended moments, these moments that escape us. Freeze in the mass the qualia these intuitions and other subjective, sensory effects that accompany many of our mental states.
My approach is none other than the search for abstract evidence, the one that will fill my questions of the present moment. Each creation is only a series of questions offered to me by these answers made of shapes and metal.

Mpcem is a contemporary French sculptor whose work delves into the intricate interplay of body and mind. This duality, often elusive to our understanding, serves as the foundational core of human existence, where the spiritual realm is inexorably intertwined with the physical world.
For Mpcem, the act of sculpting represents a journey into the third dimension of reality, akin to a return to a spiritual rebirth. It harks back to a time when the body was pure embodiment at the dawn of existence. It is a quest to pinpoint that crucial moment when the world of meaning unfolds, unveiling the emergence of reality as a unique and objective entity imbued with significance. Sculpting, in this perspective, is an exercise in relearning how to see, a reawakening to the depth and complexity of existence.
What truly captivates and drives Mpcem's sculptural work is the exploration of inner landscapes, those suspended moments that often elude our grasp. Within the confines of sculpted forms, the artist seeks to encapsulate the qualia – those intuitions and subjective, sensitive effects that accompany the myriad states of the human mind.
Mpcem's approach is an unending quest for abstract truths, an endeavor to address the pressing questions of the moment. Each creation represents a series of queries, responses fashioned from the fusion of shapes and metal. Through this process, the artist navigates the profound intricacies of the human experience, offering viewers an evocative and thought-provoking journey into the interplay of body and mind, inner and outer worlds.
