Arturo Morin is a contemporary Mexican artist. He is considered one of the 100 most important living painters in Mexico, a recognition given by the Instituto de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Institute). Morin's paintings can make us imagine new worlds or return us to worlds already imagined, where simple figures such as animals, humans and the moon are the forms that explode the imagination.
Artist's diverse works represent themes that range from the everyday to the unsuspectedly imaginative and audacious. The peculiar way in which the painter has managed to use techniques such as: pastel, charcoal, acrylic enamels, oil and acrylic on different materials such as: paper, canvas, wood and quarry, is a clear demonstration of his skills, in addition to the fact that the impact they produce on the viewer is sincere, subtle and intelligent.
Arturo Morin was born in 1953, in Mexico City. Since 1982, he has participated in more than 70 individual and collective exhibitions, both in Mexico and abroad (USA, Holland, Austria, Spain, Chile and Argentina among others).
