I have always loved sculpture. I began stone carving in 1975 and worked in it exclusively until 2004, when I decided to follow another passion - metal sculpture. In metal, I am able to explore line, space and form in a completely different way. I work in found objects and scrap metal and love the way welding allows me, literally and figuratively, to go in many different directions. Many of my metal pieces reflect the urban environment in which I grew up and lived most of my life.
