Biography
Muriel MATT is a French self-taught artist born in 1976, whose work is profoundly rooted in the world of childhood. She embodies the motto "Painting the soul, embracing life," inviting viewers to reconnect with their inner child—the part of us that embraces existence with wonder and curiosity. Through her art, MATT encourages individuals to marvel at the world around them and to be open to the surprises life has to offer.
Her paintings evoke buried childhood memories, capturing their brilliance and inviting introspection. Each artwork serves as a mirror reflecting the child's essence that resides within all of us, enabling viewers to rediscover a sense of candor and simplicity. MATT believes that the marvelous can be found in the ordinary—whether it be a purring cat, a fragrant flower, the warmth of the sun, or the joy of a contagious smile. Her canvases present opportunities to convey this message, creating an ode to a life lived without artifice.
Characterized by naive graphics animated by vibrant colors, her works also showcase relief that brings her characters to life, emphasizing their expressions. La Rotarienne des Arts 2025 aura lieu du samedi 12 avril au dimanche 27 avril 2025 au Prieuré Saint Nicolas aux Sables d’Olonne.
Horaires d’ouverture : tous les jours de 10h00 à 12h30 et 14h30 à 18h00.
Cette exposition-vente est organisée par notre Rotary club Les sables d’Olonne au profit de l’ INSTITUT DE CANCEROLOGIE DE L’OUEST (ICO) et plus particulièrement pour la recherche sur le cancer du sein.
Un grand merci aux artistes, aux donateurs et naturellement aux bénévoles qui participent à cette exposition-vente.
