Artist's comment:
“I have always been fascinated by beautiful images, by the play of colors, shapes and materials, and by the artistic expression that implements them.
When, as a young woman, I arrived in France, I was deeply moved by Vincent Van Gogh's painting and its strong colors. This discovery prompted me to start painting. I started this initiation by exploring color to discover its effects myself. 25 years later, I still paint, I still explore ...
Painting is a fascinating experience that allows you to draw your creative expression from a multitude of themes and techniques. I use the abstract or symbolism, to express ideas, emotions, sensations ...
Over the years, my painting has evolved, going through different phases, each using a favorite color or technique. Restoring movement and emotion is a fascinating thing for me.
I mainly work in acrylic on canvas, always striving to achieve harmony of colors on my palette. I had a definite preference for blue, as can be seen in my paintings through the different phases of my work, but my palette is much richer today. I also practice the collage technique, especially when I use warm, ocher colors where yellows, browns, oranges and reds predominate.
Later, attracted by India where I go quite often, I was marked by Eastern philosophies advocating universal love and faith in the extraordinary capacities of Man, which I express on the web, thanks to the chosen themes and the accompanying colors.
I also draw my inspiration from the stories of elves and trolls that inhabit Swedish Lapland, the land of my childhood. My painting is in fact born from the meeting of these two worlds.
My wish is to bring joy through painting, as dance and music do.
Colors and shapes, beyond their mere appearance, represent for me love, peace and joy. "
"I hope my painting will bring joy to the viewer, as do dance and music."
