Marie Cohydon is a contemporary French sculptor. She is creating micro sculptures on graphite pencil lead, scenes between 0.5 mm and 3 mm high. Details of the sculptures are not visible to the naked eye, you will need an X5 loupe or a jeweler’s loupe X8 to X10 to appreciate them.

The most important thing to capture in a miniature is its illusion of perfection. For the artist it shows that we are human and we do imperfect things, but we know what steps we have taken to reach them, and the viewer knows it also intuitively.

Marie Cohydon was born in France, where she graduated from the Filière Arts Plastiques et théâtre Montpellier, France.
