About the author
Didier discovered painting in 1976 while he was still at school. And he started painting with his friends on the walls.
Self-taught, his first passion led him to practice watercolor, a means of expression which suggests “calculated carelessness” and “planned hazards”. He will subsequently find his favorite path “acrylic” which he now makes his daily manna.
“I am looking for a privileged alliance between shapes and light, populated by intense vibrations between colors. In painting, everything is doable, let’s try, dare, let us travel into the world of creation.” His paintings exude atmospheres and rhythms filled with imagination and freedom. This deeply personal journey leaves observers to choose their own interpretations in front of images which can then become so many signs for them.
My approach:
I paint paintings inspired by my experiences, memories, impressions of travel and my inner life.
Each painting, landscape or composition is a suggestive creation, coming from a harmony of shapes, colors, in varied tones, frank or discreet, which evoke real or unusual images.
The painting is constructed in stages, like a construction site, by jets of colors, or associations of materials, by successive layers and the addition of relief.
