Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of leasing works of art?

  • Financial Flexibility: You can enjoy exceptional, high-value works of art without a large initial investment.
  • Tax Benefits: Receive potential tax benefits as rents can be deducted as a business expense.

How are the prices of monthly payments for leasing works of art set?

  • The costs depend on the value of the work, the duration of the leasing contract, and any services included such as installation.

Can we buy the work after the leasing period?

  • Yes, on Artmajeur leasing contracts offer a purchase option at the end of the contract, allowing customers to acquire the work at a determined price (residual value).

How are the safety and insurance of works managed?

  • Insurance during the duration of the rental contract is the responsibility of the customer. It is therefore important to check the details of your insurance contract to be sure that your leased works are covered in the event of damage.

Born in 1972 in Moulins, lives and works in Auvergne.

Jean-Philippe Degraeve is a painter, essentially non-figurative.
Going against the current of ambient cynicism, easy provocation and deliberately sloppy pictorial gestures, carried by a stubborn spiritual quest, he maintains the tradition of an art in search of Beauty, of a work not of immediacy but developed over the days.

The cohabitation in his being of extreme sensitivity and frenzied optimism makes the singularity of the man and the artist: he is not a skinned soul, but a tender heart which fights in the quest for light .

Indeed, we find in his works, pastels, watercolors, inks or pigments on canvas, this quasi-fascination for light, sought after, captured, praised.
The colors that he harmonizes while playing with transparency, are the expression of his own spiritual feelings and of what he captures from a cosmos that goes beyond him.

Collaborations with Marie-Laure Chazel-Lesec, gallery owner and curator of exhibitions in France and Belgium, with Nathalie and Robert Gaime at the Galerie du Parc in Vichy and with Claude Lemand of the Galerie Claude Lemand in Paris.

Exhibited since 1989. Shared the gallery with Mohamed Kacimi, Taka Misukami, Jean Striglioni, Raymond Biaussat, Henri Guibal, Pierre Lafoucrière, Manabu Kochi, José Dubois, Alain Friaud...

Visual artist working from 1996 to 2004 in Allier. Teaching painting and drawing since 2005 and giving lectures since 2011.
