Karla Fischer grew up in Kassel and completed her studies as a trained retail saleswoman, painter and decorator. She has painted since her early schooldays and, since 1992, owns a studio with gallery, turning her hobby into a profession. In 1997, she set up the „Künstler-Treff-Emden“ (KTE), a group of painters, sculptors, musicians, authors and actors, with whom she organzises exhibitions and annual events, e.g. an art and cultural weekend in the „Rysumer mill“ in East Frisia at Whitsuntide.
