About the author
Tim Southall is a contemporary British artist hailing from a family of artists, which fostered his creative upbringing. One of his forebearers was a renowned printmaker known for transcribing J.M.W. Turner’s paintings into engravings during the early twentieth century. Tim is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London and the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, and he has worked as a professional artist for many years.
For the past 18 years, he has divided his time between Cádiz Province in southern Spain, where he creates much of his work, and a large print studio in Birmingham, UK. As a printmaker, Tim also engages in painting, utilizing various mediums including etching, silkscreen, monotype, and oil on canvas, paper, and board.
As a figurative artist, his interests remain fairly traditional and representational. His body of work spans a broad spectrum of subjects, ranging from fluid, evocative landscapes to narrative pieces deeply rooted in the printmaking tradition. Tim strives to create art that resonates with people, aiming to reach into their souls and touch their hearts.
