My name is Kerstin Lansche and I was born in 1972 in Pforzheim, Germany. After my apprenticeship as a carpenter, I studied interior design and successfully qualified as Dipl.Ing. completed.
I have been working successfully in this profession since 2001 and yet the painting that I have been doing since my school days has not let me go. My style has grown from small-scale still lifes to large-scale abstract palette knife techniques.
In my main job of interior design, I have to plan and design precisely and with foresight.
To compensate for my "bread job", I can give free rein to my soul in my abstract paintings.
My impulsive, abstract, mostly large-format painting in oil or acrylic (sometimes combined) gives me the freedom to capture my feelings on canvas. After several layers of my palette knife technique, I try to capture a theme for the viewer, which does not always succeed.
Through often multi-layered, sometimes tactile paint applications with the palette knife, different works of art are created, in which I prefer to leave to the viewer what can be seen, felt or expressed in my paintings.
For me, everyone sees and feels something different in art and I don't want to dictate to the viewer what to see in my artworks.
