MaMà Dots Roma” was born from the synergistic approach of two artists, husband and wife, Marianna Improta (1983) and Mauro De Vito (1984).

In fact, the name MaMà derives from the initial letters of their names.

Both have a passion for art, they start painting again from 2022. The early days are difficult, but after an intense research and improvement work, inspired by the great Georges Seurat, they develop a personalized pop pointillism technique, combining technique, absolute precision and personal sensitivity.

Mama:

 produced a personal work for the private collection of famous Italian designer Anna FENDI;

he participated in the Pro Biennale di Venezia 2023, with the art curator Salvo Nugnes and Professor Vittorio Sgarbi, receiving the Jacopo Da Ponte Award.

collaborates with the prestigious Galleria D'arte Luce in Venice, next to the Teatro La Fenice - San Marco 1922/a - 30124 Venice - where the work "Her Majesty, Lilibet" is exhibited, already on display at the Pro Biennale of Venice 2023.

was selected, among the 30 painters, to exhibit at the prestigious Galleria Dantebus Margutta in Via Margutta, 38 - Rome, from 12 to 23 July 2023.

has been selected to exhibit two works, from 21 to 25 July 2023, at Palazzo Vescovile, Terrazza Frau, former headquarters of the Fiction Don Matteo, SPOLETO FESTIVAL, one of the largest international events dedicated to art, with the contribution of Vittorio Sgarbi.

The works of MaMà Dots Roma seem to have come out of algorithms and pixels, very much recalling the current era, projected towards artificial intelligence, in reality they are hand painted with classic oil colors, with methodicality and meticulousness.

In their paintings each particle is a defined and unitary circle in its chromatic purity, however, by entering into relationship with each other, the interspersed colors relocate in an overall vision, obtaining a surprising result that involves the observer in a game of perception, where the eye is able to distinguish the figure in its entirety and at the same time to perceive its "composing" atom.

They are aware that in the modern era - just like the individual "dots" of their works - man, although by now educated, aware, brilliant, at times apparently perfect, in reality, due to the solitude imposed by current social models, is only a dot with limited capabilities compared to potential.

The message they want to convey is that, only by working synergistically with the other "dots", will it be possible to create magic and why not the dream!

We must try to bring together our unstructured society, "Dot After Dot".
