"Erik Sven Larsgaard wurde 1985 in Stockholm geboren und verbrachte dort seine Kindheit und Jugend. Mit seiner Familie verbrachte er jede freie Minute auf einer kleinen Insel umgeben von Meer, Wäldern und Natur. Diese Umgebung prägte ihn sehr und schon früh wurden seine kreativen Kräfte geweckt. Die Sonne, die Farben, das Meer, die Farben der Wälder hatten großen Einfluß auf seine künstlerische Entwicklung. Die kräftigen sonnigen Farben sind typisch für seine Bilder. Die Wellen, der Sand , der Strand waren Vorbild und prägten seine Vorliebe für fließende Formen. Nach Abschluß seines Kunsthistorikstudiums folgten Praktika bei Museen und bildenden Künstlern. Reisen führten ihn nach Südfrankreich, in die Toskana, in die Uckermark und nach Marokko. Bezeichnend für seine Malerei ist das Farbspiel der kräftigen Farben, die musikalische Kompostition der Formen und seine lyrische Abstraktion. Erik Sven Larsgaard lebt heute in Montana/USA und Kopenhagen."
