I am a painter born in French-Algeria on August 20, 1940. I have been using oil paint since I was 15 years old. I am a pupil of Jacques Burel and Sauveur Galiéro, whose influence I faithfully came under. I had several figurative or abstract periods. I made many views of Algeria, including: the port of Algiers, the Casbah and the Algerian desert dunes. A great lover of jazz, for 60 years, I have evoked it in my contemporary and expressionist works; John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, among others. Currently, all my works are done in oil using knives and palettes, on canvas (canvas).
Je suis un peintre né en Algerie-Française le 20 aout 1940. J'utilise la peinture à l'huile depuis l'âge 15 ans. Je suis un élève de Jacques Burel et de Sauveur Galiéro, dont j'ai subi l'influence avec fidélité. J'ai eu plusieurs périodes figuratives ou abstraites. J'ai réalisé beaucoup de vues d'Algérie, notamment : dui port d'Alger, de la Casbah et des dunes du désert algériens. Grand amateur de jazz, depuis 60 ans, j'évoque celui-ci dans mes œuvres contemporaines et expressionnistes ; John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, entre autres. Actuellement, toutes mes œuvres se font à l'huile grâce à des couteaux et palettes, sur des toiles (canvas).
