About the author
Ignacio Nazabal is a contemporary artist currently based in China, born in Havana in 1962. His artistic journey began with studies at the San Alejandro Academy from 1996 to 2000, where he graduated as a Plastic Artist specializing in Painting.
Throughout his career, Nazabal has participated in numerous significant collective exhibitions, showcasing his work in various galleries and venues. Notable exhibitions include "Reflecting AIDS" at Casa "Benito Juarez" in November 1996, "Facconable" at "The Acacia" Gallery in November 1996, and "Man and Time" at the Humboldt House Gallery in June 2000, among others. His art has been featured in exhibitions not only in his native Cuba but also in other countries such as Spain, Italy, and Mexico.
In addition to his participation in collective exhibitions, Nazabal has also held several personal exhibitions, offering a deeper insight into his artistic vision. These include "Releasing the Ballast" at the Ac. San Alejandro in April 1999 and "The Wings of Dust" at the Poetry House Open Gallery in June 2002.
Nazabal's artwork has garnered international recognition and can be found in private collections across the globe, including in Spain, Italy, the United States, Panama, the Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, France, and England.
