About the author
Hello ! I am happy to make you discover my universe, through my gallery but also through this bibliography which, I hope, will shed more light on what makes me vibrate and therefore understand what I paint.
I was born in Brittany, in St Malo on a beautiful day in June. Region prized by great artists, rocked by wild coasts and its history of great travelers. Maybe the artistic streak was in the air that day ... Anyway, I caught it at a young age !!!
Painting has always remained my private garden and I have made Sciences my profession. These two passions came together naturally: in trying to understand things, you open up to anything that can enrich your mind, and painting is a wonderful means of exchange.
My first big step forward was opening up the realm of the possible by taking evening classes. They have given me a lot in improving techniques but also in discovering new avenues. If I am always looking for new "recipes", oil painting has naturally become my favorite material because it allows this constant play with other materials producing singular effects by playing with knives, brushes and thickness. paint.
In this thirst for painting, came my traveling soul. And there you have the breadcrumb trail of my painting. My observations and my discoveries are the sources of inspiration for my paintings explaining the diversity of subjects since I never paint the same thing. My paintings transcribe both the beauties of what surrounds us but also the current torments: so many subjects for reflection and inspiration.
With the succession of years, my discoveries and my omnipresent curiosity, my painting has evolved: moreover, one will notice that the riches are translated by figurative art and absurdity by abstract art. I can only note the influence of traveling writers whose stories I devour, recounting their discoveries and observations (Pierre Loti, Jules Verne, Lodewijk Allaert, Robert Louis Stevenson to name a few). No conformism, just observations…. Failing to have a feather as magnificent as theirs, I use paint.
