About the author
Anh Huy Tran is a contemporary painter from Vietnam, born into a family with a rich artistic tradition. Growing up surrounded by artists, it was only natural for Tran Anh Huy to develop a passion for fine art from a young age. Under the guidance of his father, the renowned artist Tran Mau Loc, Huy honed his skills and nurtured his interest in painting, particularly drawn to the style of Impressionism.
Inspired by light, nature, and the ever-changing seasons, Huy finds his muse in the streets of his hometown, Hue, where he resides riverside. The shifting light and its transformative effects on the surroundings often feature prominently in his work, reflecting his keen observation and emotional connection to his environment.
Huy's artistic ambitions extend beyond mere representation; he strives to convey the emotions and beauty he experiences in each scene through his paintings. Traveling across Vietnam and neighboring countries provides him with further inspiration and opportunities to capture diverse landscapes and cultures. His sketches and observations during these journeys serve as the foundation for his vibrant and evocative artworks.
Using primarily acrylic on canvas or paper, Huy employs various techniques and materials, including brushes, palette knives, and even unconventional tools like credit cards and fingers. He paints intuitively, often working on multiple pieces simultaneously, layering colors and textures to create depth and complexity.
Tran Anh Huy's talent and dedication have garnered him recognition both locally and internationally. His works are sought after by art collectors from around the world, with loyal patrons in the USA, France, Australia, and numerous other countries. Additionally, his paintings grace the walls of prestigious hotels and resorts in Vietnam, including Park Hyatt Saigon, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark 72, and Indochine Palace Hue Hotel.
