Diego Arellano es un artista autodidacta que desde temprana edad mostró aptitudes para el dibujo y la pintura, desde los 16 años empieza a aprender el oficio y las diversas técnicas del arte plástico,
empezó a tomar clases de pintura en el ITESM campus zacatecas, después de titularse de la misma universidad en el 2007 empieza su carrera artística.
ha tomado clases con distintos maestros nacionales e internacionales en disciplinas como grabado, dibujo y pintura
ha tenido maestros como Emilio Carrasco, Plinio Ávila, Jordi Boldo y Ghislaine Thomas con quien tomó una master class de arte abstracto auspiciada por la galeria Irma Valerio en la ciudad de zacatecas.
ha expuesto en distintos recintos públicos y privados como la casa de cultura de zacatecas en 2017 , el aeropuerto internacional de zacatecas en 2018 con una exposicion colectiva, en 2017 expone en el museo hidalgo en salamanca gto, su exposición titulada "sueños perdurables"
su obra México fue seleccionada en la bienal royal talens para exponerse en el MUNAL en ciudad de México.
su obra paisaje cómico fue seleccionada para exponerse en la IV bienal de pintura J.M. Monroy
su estilo es surrealista siempre destacando lo más emblemático de su país natal México, ha expuesto en diversos museos y galerias de forma individual y colectiva, divide su tiempo entre la producción de obra y la enseñanza.
