Le travail de Marie Eve Kia porte essentiellement sur la matérialisation de la couleur et du mouvement.
Son inspiration est très souvent figurative, alors que son expression est délibérément abstraite.
Ses thèmes sont la Vie, la Foi, la Nature, la Beauté. La musique accompagne et construit son œuvre.
Elle a réalisé plusieurs affiches destinées à annoncer des concerts de musique sacrée, tels des REQUIEM ou des STABAT MATER, sur lesquelles se retrouvent les motifs de la croix et de l’agneau.
Elle pratique également le dessin à l’encre ou à la pointe feutre fine, avec la technique du pointillisme et a fait plusieurs illustrations au crayon et encre pour enfants. Parallèlement elle s’intéresse à la technique de la mosaïque et du vitrail.
