Après une vie professionnelle et familiale bien remplie ; Catherine Cascio décide de se livrer à sa passion première, la peinture.
Elle s’installe à Toulon et laisse libre cours à toute sa sensibilité et sa créativité, elle décide de se perfectionner en prenant des cours auprès d’artistes confirmés et diverses écoles spécialisées ( artiste peintre Solange Triger, atelier Art et mouvement et école supérieure d’Arts à Toulon). Toujours poussée par cette force intérieure Catherine explore de nouvelles voies comme la gravure (atelier de Jean-Pierre Maltese) et divers techniques mixtes alliant huile, encre et collages.
Comme beaucoup d’artistes, après un travail figuratif, elle s’en éloigne quelque peu, optant pour une touche plus libérée et laissant parler la couleur. C’est cette palette variée et forte qui traduit une émotion qu’elle nous transmet au travers de ses œuvres en véritable artiste.
