About the author
After retiring from the world of finance in manufacturing, I was eager to study painting. Fifteen years ago I started taking Plein Air art classes in Old Lyme, Ct, the home of the American Impressionists. I have worked with and exhibited at the Old Lyme Art Association, Clinton Art Association, and Essex Art Association during the summers. In the winter I take classes and workshops in the Naples, Florida area.
Much of my study has been done at The vonLiebig Art Center here in Naples. I am currently studying under Marco Bronzini in his Art Studio here and plein air in Sausalito, California.
I enjoy still life, seascapes, landscape, and portrait. I would classify my style as expressionistic. Having lived on and around the water all of my adult life, I am drawn to it. Please see my artist statement under philosophy.
