About the author
Marie Marlène Mahalatchimy is a self-taught photographer and visual artist. From the age of ten, his interest in Art was awakened. In 2005, living in the mountains, she was able to realize her passion for Painting and Photography, mastering the techniques empirically. Then little by little, guided by a deep desire to progress, she turned towards Photography.
His artistic approach combines the Figurative and the Abstract giving free rein to more in-depth techniques, superpositions of images thus leaving the public a free pictorial interpretation. His desire is to reveal what is hidden in a landscape, a portrait; reflections, blurs, play of lights, unusual details… This work invites him to deconstruct the image sometimes down to the frame without forgetting the “subject” of his inspiration.
Marie Marlène Mahalatchimy is of Indian origin and born on the island of Reunion (France), she arrived in mainland France in 1976. She resided in Valence in the Drôme and settled in Embrunais in the Hautes- Alps (France) subsequently. She has participated in numerous exhibitions: Montélimar, Valence, Gap… and her work has been the subject of numerous publications.
