About the author
Clóvis Pescio nasceu em 1951, na cidade de Santo Antonio de Posse, interior de São Paulo. Sua paixão por arte começou na sua infância e desde então vem trabalhando intensivamente no seu desenvolvimento artístico. Iniciou seus primeiros trabalhos em óleo sobre tela em 1968. Estudou na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Sao Paulo em 1970, onde aperfeiçou seu conhecimento técnico e teórico nos cursos de Licenciatura em Desenho e Plástica e posteriormente em Licenciatura em Educação Artística. Nesse período, teve como mestres os artistas plásticos Vincent Di Grado, Fang e o escultor Rafael Galvez. Clóvis Pescio Sua primeira participação artística em salões oficiais foi em 1972. Desde então, tem participado de mais de centenas de exposições coletivas e individuais, obtendo reconhecimento por parte da crítica e do público, com prêmios e títulos nacionais, além de participações como jurí nos mais conceituados salões de arte do Brasil. Suas obras integram acervos de colecionadores e galerias no Brasil, Estados Unidos, França, Espanha, Japão, Argentina e Canadá. É artista catalogado em todos os volumes no dicionário Artes Plásticas Brasil de Júlio Louzada, no Anuário Latino Americano de las Artes Plásticas e no New Circle International Art (International Register #000279). É membro da Academia Nacional de Artes Plásticas e do SINAESP(Sindicato dos Artistas Plásticos do Estado de São Paulo).
