Die Maltechnik ist realistisch aber nicht perfektionistisch oder hyperrealistisch. Es geht nicht um eine Nachahmung von Fotos sondern um eine malerische Auseinandersetzung mit der Welt. Es sind bewusste Unschärfen in den Gemälden vorhanden um Raum darzustellen und die Fokuspunkte zu setzen.
Als Malmittel wird hauptsächlich mit Leinöl gearbeitet , dadurch ist der Malprozess ist sehr langsam und findet meist über Wochen statt.
Viele Motive gibt es in Wirklichkeit gar nicht und sind eine in der Malerei entstandene Zusammenstellung.
Die Motive haben immer einen persönlichen Bezug und als fotografische Quellen werden nur eigene Fotografien verwendet.
