J’exerce quelques années en milieu hospitalier. Je mets en parenthèse mon activité et j’entreprends plusieurs voyages à l’étranger. Durant cette période, je m’initie à la photo, et je pars en quête de « gros plans » chaque fois que s’exprime l’inconnu, l’innatendu.
En 2000 je m’installe en France. Dès lors, je me tourne vers la peinture avec passion et je trouve là ma vocation.
Pour moi, une toile est un espace de transformation muni d’un fond.
C’est un paysage mental, un lieu de métamorphose où la vision prime.
Quand je peins, je pars à la découverte, je cherche le lien intelligible qui va me permettre d’exprimer mon imaginaire au gré de mon intuition.
Je travaille dans l’utopie !
En gommant les contraintes du réel, je retrouve ma liberté de pensée, ma liberté d’exécution. Une toile vierge doit être une énigme, un parcours initiatique, un chemin à créer avec comme développement ultime non pas le fait d’être une toile achevée, mais au contraire de ne pas connaître d’aboutissement afin d’entretenir sa vigueur, de la maintenir en vie au-delà de la contemplation immédiate. Pour y parvenir, j’entre en communication avec tous les matériaux, car je ne me limite pas à la seule peinture, aux couleurs ou aux non couleurs.
Mon travail est une perpétuelle ébauche comme suspendu dans le temps, un temps incertain, non borné.
Si par exemple une couleur devient une interrogation persistante (une nécessité d’être représentée), elle sera ponctuelle, liée au geste fondateur. Elle sera à la fois la force de l’instant et un centre de valeurs. Toutefois cette richesse accumulée sera très vite contrariée puisque je ne donne jamais de destination finale au geste. Celui-ci sert seulement de passage, annonce une nouvelle voie qui elle-même propose un réseau de possibilités !
