Chris Le Guen seeks to bring his own vision of reality. Sometimes in figurative or abstract, she likes to give vibrant energy in her paintings.
During her period in the United States, she worked with many artists and exhibited in numerous galleries. There, Chris developed his work on nudes, portraits and expressions. For many years, she made many classic portraits in the technique of glazes, but with very refined backgrounds. This was his impressionistic period ...
His portraits and his nudes are made with emotion. Chris Le Guen leaves room for chance, without any rules of the game, with no other vision than his own. There is therefore in these series only the sweetness, the beauty and the essential.

Returning to France in the 90s, Chris found his way in his series of flowers. Explosive primaries of colors, details, shapes and sensuality. The way in the figurative had just been traced. She likes playing with nuances, shadows, transparencies, a whole job to give a volume, an expression. At the same time, she embarked on abstract series with Jackson POLLOCK's Dripping-Pouring method. His series Alterpeice, In Between and Innerworld have been acclaimed for success in the press. These are series that have lasted several years and have required a lot of work. It feels like watching them. A job of Titan ... The sculpture does not have its rest. Alberto GIAGOMETTI, Pierre SOULAGES, Niki DE SAINT-PHALLE ... Many of them are his mentors. Inspired by everyone and always animated by the abstract, her achievements from old abandoned wooden crusts, give totems, furniture, bodies that emerge from this wood yet endowed. It gives them a new life, and finds a new way to move the audience. A teacher in her spare time, Chris Le Guen seeks to awaken the imagination and the deep wealth held. Each pupil must find his way, his path, his style to achieve the satisfaction of the accomplished work. His lively classes gave many vocations. It is the goal in everyone to awaken the artist who sleeps in us ...

Each medium has its interest. Carton, wood, plaster, paper, canvas, hemp, linen, cotton, jute ... as long as Chris can express himself, that's the point. Many of his paintings have a pigment-based paint. Chris uses a very old technique to design his own colors. She has this fact, an immense palette and a richness in the shades and nuances of her paintings. This requires additional preparation for the development of his paintings and a style that becomes unmistakable.

Now living in Brittany, she devotes her time to creating and visiting physical and virtual exhibitions! A real artist's life!
