About the author
Heinz Schlegel geb. 1944 in Janusov CZ. Künstlerische Ausbildung von 1961 bis 1964 an der Kunst- und Handwerkerschule in Würzburg. Von 1964 bis 1967 an der Freien Akademie in Mannheim. Nach freiberuflicher Tätgkeit als Grafiker und Fotograf, seit 1973 ausschließlich als Kunstmaler tätig. In Zusammenarbeit mit meiner 2013 verstorbenen Ehefrau Gisela, entstanden allein während vierzig Jahren an die achthundert Werke, überwiegend Gouachen aber auch Zeichnungen Ölgemälde, Pastelle und an die zweihundert Objektkästen. 1984 erfolgte unser Umzug von Deutschland nach Frankreich. Unser Haupttätigkeitsfeld war und ist es für mich noch immer die Provence. Zwischenzeitlich lebten und arbeiteten wir auch in Italien und Tschechien. Ich habe mir einen lang gehegten Wunsch erfüllt und damit begonnen Kopien von Imressionisten anzufertigen, die ich gern auf Bestellung ausführe, als Kleinformate in Gouachetechnik und In Öl auf Leinwand, bis zur Größe 100x80cm. Mein Lieblingsmaler ist Vincent van Gogh...
