Omar Moubine, better know as a painter than a sculptor, self-taught, was born in Djibouti in 1974. He draws and paints since his childhood. In 1989, at the age of 15, he received, in Cairo, the Pan-Arabic junior gold medal in Fine Arts (competition which brings together the best artists selected from 24 Arab countries). He settled in Tours in 2014, where he registered his artistic company and began to exhibit collectively and in solo. In 2016, he received for his artistic works the distinction of the Marwo Award for the best artist 2016 (Djibouti). In July 2018, his artist rating was certified by the house of expert Jacques-Armand AKOUN. Several articles are published, mentioning his name or his work. Three books are published in France with his works on the cover, including one with seven of his works which inspired French-speaking poems. He wrote two prefaces, in 2013, for an abstract pictorial work of art ("Les Espaces Colorés") and in 2016, for a collection of French-speaking African poems entitled "Passerelle". Two artworks are published on the cover of the novels, respectively, "Semelles de Vent" and "Ayaan Daran" (Editions du Net) , by the psychologist and novelist Rachid HACHI. Works are now in collections in the public and private domains, in Europe and abroad. In addition to its official website, we find his works on online art sales platforms, and since April 2019, at the "Galerie 21", in Tours, which exhibits and represents the artist.
