Pressé de voir du pays j'embarque à 17 ans comme novice machine dans une compagnie de marine marchande. Après quelques années de navigation et mon mariage, je rejoins le siège social d'une grande compagnie maritime où je fais une carrière que je termine avec l'assurance d'une retraite satisfaisante.
Dans cette longue période, aussi souvent que possible, j'occupe mes loisirs à la sculpture sur bois domaine artistique qui m'a toujours attiré. Je m'y révèle pas trop maladroit, peut-être par atavisme, mon père était un ébéniste de talent qui a effectué entr'autre la première restauration de la Chasse de Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux.
La retraite arrivée je peux enfin me consacrer en autodidacte absolu aux plaisirs de l'art. Je touche à tout, le dessin, l'aquarelle, la gouache puis l'huile et encore la sulpture. une douzaine d'années de travail et entre huit cents et un millier d'oeuvres.
Aujourd'hui, sauf pour de rares commandes, je me repose, j'ai vendu un peu dans des expos locales et surtout autour de moi par connaissances et j'ai beaucoup donné à des amis. Les oeuvres présentées ici sont ma collection personnelle.
