About the author
"I start all my paintings with three colors in mind. The rest is a free form process in which I work out the vision directly on the canvas. I prefer to let the painting paint itself. My ultimate goal in the end is to have a work of art I've never seen or created."
Ceccon first became inspired to paint in 1990 after seeing the painting “The Tea Cup” by Jackson Pollock being discussed on television show. Soon after, he began painting. He educated himself by reading, and visiting museums and galleries. Peter attended the Art Students League in New York City from 1999 to 2001. His instructor was Larry Poons. In 2003, Ceccon began showing at the Piermont Flywheel Gallery in Piermont, New York. Peter lives and works from his home in northern New Jersey. In addition to painting, collage, photography and writing, he has begun to experiment with video and sound. He is currently employed in the automotive industry.
