Aimant dessiner depuis l'enfance ( au vu de mes bordures de cahiers de classe) , j'ai hérité de ma mère qui faisait des paysages au fusain magnifiques et de mon père, peintre en bâtiment et aussi décorateur de théâtre ,passé maître dans l'art de la "patine" . J'ai pris des cours de dessin au crayon aux beaux arts de Bourges (où j'ai appris le portrait ) durant mon service militaire et ai publié des dessins entre 1979 et 1982 dans le journal "La Vendée Agricole" .
Je ne connais absolument pas les techniques de peinture et me suis lancé il y a 3 ans suite à mon arrêt de travail ,en visionnant des tutoriels sur internet . J'ai commencé par l'acrylique et puis rapidement ,l'huile sur toile . Je travaille sur photo ,ce qui cadre mieux mes tableaux . On dit que je suis rapide à l'exécution ,mais je fais des retouches car rarement satisfait du premier jet .
Mes artistes préférés sont les impressionnistes en général mais aussi les peintres comme Michel Ange, Le Caravage, Vermeer, Bruegel, Léonard de Vinci, Hokusai, Dali , Picasso , Bosch et bien d'autres ...
