Thomas Kaemmerer's Bilder sind von akribischer Genauigkeit. Er malt die kompliziertesten Apparate, spiegelnde Linsen, Porzellanstatuen und Messinstrumente, Tücher und Papier, malt - malt einfach alles und jedes.

Thomas Kaemmerer schreckt vor nichts zurück, seine "Stilleben" sind Regale und Schränke, vollgeräumt mit gesammelten Sachen. Sie wuchern in irgendwelchen Berliner Wohnnungen die Wände hoch, und immer wieder kommt etwas dazu. Thomas Kaemmerer geht hin und malt das Ganze, ohne irgend etws auszulassen oder zu vergessen. Der Maler ist besessen von Realität und Masse. Er ist das so sehr, dass sogar das Narrative der Realität ein wesentlicher Faktor seiner Kunst ist. Da sehen wir eine gläserne Schüssel, in der sich eine gestreifte Tischdecke so oft bricht, dass wir den Gegenstand kaum noch identifizieren können, und wir sehen eine polierte Silberkanne, in der sich das Atelier neunmal spiegelt, so dass der reflektierte Raum das Gefäß fast aufhebt.
