Ces peintures évoquent une promenade dans un parc avec des envies de couleurs que Jérôme Le Goff fait vibrer sans avoir d'idées précises.
Puis un minutieux travail d'herborisation complète la sensation, l'artiste identifie les essences, choisit une plante dont le graphisme et les teintes participeront à la
composition finale en figurant au premier plan, un peu comme ces jardiniers qui sélectionnent les fleurs qu'ils souhaitent voir fleurir.
Seuls les bords du cadre choisis limitent une profusion végétale enfermée dans un format devenu trop restreint. Quelque chose semble pourtant échapper au peintre à mesure que la toile
se remplit parce qu'il subsiste toujours une partie sombre dans un jardin. Jérôme Le Goff doit alors rebrousser chemin et partir à la recherche d'un espace où reposer les yeux et où, en apparence, il ne se passerait rien, juste favoriser l'imagination comme la curiosité.
