Née dans une famille où l'art est très présent (peintres, musiciens) Brigitte de Lanouvelle étudie le piano, le chant lyrique, en 1981 est diplômée de La Sorbonne d'une maitrise d'histoire médiévale( l'art roman est une source d'inspiration). Après quelques années d'enseignement, elle se forme à la sculpture dans les années 1990, aux ateliers des Beaux-arts de la ville de Paris, atelier Marie La Varande, puis, au centre de formation Terre et Feu, où elle travaille, outre la terre, la peinture et la céramique.
Elle expose ses sculptures dans diverses galeries parisiennes ainsi qu'en province (Arles, ile d'Yeu, Senlis, bourgogne)
obtient le prix de la "Rondes des Arts" en 2019
Aujourd'hui, elle travaille à Paris, et en Bourgogne dans son atelier, "atelier du Vouchot"
