Régis lives and works in Saugnacq and Muret, France, where he explores the ephemeral nuances of nature through his photographic art. Passionate about capturing the passing of time, he expresses his poetic vision through several emblematic series.
“Golden Leaves” highlights the survival of nature, capturing the fragile beauty of the golden leaves and elements that adorn the landscape. With "Evanescence", Régis immerses himself in the changing reflections of the Atlantic, capturing the transience and depth of these natural mirrors.
“Miniatures” takes us to the sand dunes where every grain of humanity is minutely observed and magnified by its lens, revealing details that evoke the fragile grandeur of our presence on earth.
Through his work, Régis seeks to illustrate the dialogue between time and nature. In his artistic installations, he invites the viewer to meditate on permanence and impermanence, symbolized by the ephemeral clocks traced by the oyats under the influence of the wind. These clocks, ephemeral like time itself, are captured through photographs carefully selected from hundreds of others, accompanied by videos and poetic illustrations on temporality.
By exploring the ephemeral "Glyphs" in Banc d'Arguin and Martinique, as well as the complex reflections of nature in the "Reflets" series, Régis demonstrates his commitment to revealing the transient and often invisible beauty that surrounds us.
