For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. Original-Bild Airbrush-Mischtechnik “Verführung”.
Dieses Bild wurde in den Anfangsjahren auch unter dem Titel “Der Halt!?” in Ausstellungen gezeigt. Später gab ihm der Künstler jedoch den Titel “Verführung”.

Wie schrieb doch ein Reporter des Blitz-Tip Frankfurt am Main am 17.11.1988 “… Immer steckt mehr hinter dem Bild als auf dem ersten Blick zu erkennen ist. Man muss sich mit seinen Bildern auseinandersetzen, sich hineindenken, sonst geht man achtlos daran vorbei und hat nichts entdeckt …”

Treffender kann man es nicht formulieren – und: es trifft auch auf dieses Bild zu. Auf dem ersten Blick sieht man “nur” eine Hand, die scheinbar aus dem Nichts kommt und dem Betrachter eine Flasche Whisky symbolträchtig entgegenhält, auf dem zweiten Blick erkennt man dann “angerissen” die Profile von Gesichtern und auf dem dritten Blick eine kleine Markierung auf dem Flaschenetikett “|X| OR Whisky”.

Di Bella hat mit diesem Werk versucht, sich in die Gefühlswelt eines Alkoholabhängigen hineinzuversetzen. Wie es in solch einem Menschen wohl ausschaut, die innere Zerrissenheit, das eine Ich sagt “trink”, das andere Ich sagt “lass’ es”, also immer wieder vor der Wahl zu stehen …, um dann letztlich doch wieder “verführt” zu werden …
